This course is perfect if you want to start a career as a Health Care Professional or progress into other healthcare support roles, including Community, Health, and Social Care, to name but a few. You will be able to specialise in a variety of areas, such as learning disability, mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, home care, dementia, and end-of-life care.
This course was created with the help of employers to help people start a rewarding career in health care.
About The Course
Pathway into Health Care’ is our Skills Bootcamp – a short course designed to help people upskill, find a job, and start earning.
It has been developed in partnership with leading employers and local authorities and, upon completion, offers you a direct route to our fast-track level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship. This will save you up to 3 months of learning time and get you into your dream role much faster.
It is designed to be flexible and accessible. Whether you prefer face-to-face learning or blended (face to face/online) study, you’ll gain valuable experience and knowledge to prepare you for this next step.
Plus – it won’t cost you anything, and we’ll even help you with your DBS application!

Here’s what you can expect:
Flexible
Learning
Choose between a 6-week full time course, a 9-week part-time course or a 12-week Saturday only programme (limited dates). All courses are a mix of in person and online (blended), due to the nature of what you will learn, there is an element that MUST be in person
No
Costs
Provided you are aged 19 or over and meet our eligibility criteria, there is absolutely nothing for you to pay. Plus – if you progress onto our accelerated level 3 apprenticeship, there’s nothing to pay there either.

Who and what Skills Bootcamps Are For?
Skills Bootcamps are designed to support career growth and meet the evolving demands of the job market. They are ideal for enhancing existing skills, transitioning careers, or gaining employment. These bootcamps provide valuable knowledge and experience critical for future job prospects.

Key features include:
- Collaboration with employers to ensure course content meets their needs
- Flexible start dates to accommodate busy lifestyles
- Face-to-face and online courses that help individuals develop essential skills for employment
- Aid for employers in finding candidates to fill skill gaps
- A wide range of sector-specific courses aimed at sustainable employment in England
Learners who:
- Are aged 19 or over as of the 31st of August
- Are employed and supported by their employers. Or those who are self-employed and want to grow their business
- Are unemployed or returning from a break. They want an entry-level job in a new sector
- Are not currently undertaking formal education, including another Skills Bootcamp
- Are employed and want to change careers or progress their careers
Course Requirements:
- To have lived in England for the last three years and have the right to work in the UK. Exceptions may apply.
- A reliable internet connection and a laptop or desktop with a camera and mic. They must also access Microsoft Office (support can be provided)
